We Bought a House!!

During a psychedelic trip sometime back in February I had the realization that in order to make the things I wanted to make and build the connections I wanted to build I needed some stability. And with my husband’s line of work even if I follow him to each next new location he’s still going to be gone 30 percent to 50 percent of the time at minimum. We could start working towards something now if we took advantage of our loan options and significantly tightened our budget. And so we did. We were lucky to find a good candidate pretty quickly and had a realtor that negotiated an amazing deal for us. So now we get to have and build on something that’s ours, that we can use to help our friends, host festivities, not worry about landlords, and do what we want to it.

The whole venture was stress and tough and I had to manage a lot of the paperwork, phone calls, and back-and-forth since my husband is the more gainfully employed of us two but we got through it. Got our stuff moved in and are now in the arduous process of packing and unpacking.

Of course I’m stressed but everywhere I look here I see possibility. For renovating my office into a better workspace, to space to erect a shrine building, for parties we could throw and connections we could make. I see so much of that here. I’m excited for this next adventure, this next chapter, and I can’t wait to see what the coming years hold.
